Music programme on Divya Prabandham and Thevaram – Thiruvasagam
Thittikkum Thaen Tamil is a popular programme being telecast every morning at 6.30 am on Sun News TV Channel and features Divya Prabandhams and Thevarams-Thiruvasagams rendered by musicians Chinmaya Sisters, Uma –Radhika and Dr.Ganesh respectively. The explanations for the same have been given by Mai. Pa. Narayanan and Ma. Vaidhyalingam.
The idea behind the program is to help people enjoy both the poetic as well as the melodic beauty of these great Tamil poems.
These hymns have been set to tune by the performing artists themselves. They have tuned the prabandams and theverams in a variety of ragas that not only bring forth the beauty of the verses, but also touches a chord in the heart of the rasikas.
This programme conceptualized by Mai. Pa. Narayanan is being telecast since June this year and has now successfully completed over 75 episodes.
